Anemia (/əˈniːmiə/; also spelled anaemia and anæmia; from Ancient Greek: ἀναιμίαanaimia, meaning lack of blood, from ἀν- an-, "not" + αἷμα haima, "blood") is a decrease in Hemoglobin and erythrocytes in blood that cause hypoxemia.
